How Cyvora Biotech collects, uses and protects personal data submitted through this website, written under Uganda's Data Protection and Privacy Act, 2019.

Who we are
Cyvora Biotech is a biotechnology company registered in Uganda, with its office in Kampala. We are the data controller for personal data collected through cyvorabiotech.com.
What we collect
We only collect what we need to answer you:
- Details you type into our enquiry forms: name, email, phone or WhatsApp number, organisation, and the content of your message.
- Order and site details you give us for a quote, such as product, quantity, delivery district, site type, water source and power.
- Messages you send us on WhatsApp, by phone or by email.
- Analytics data about how the site is used, collected only if you accept analytics cookies.
Why we use it
To reply to enquiries and prepare quotes; to arrange consultations, deliveries and training; to keep records of agreements; and, with consent, to understand how the site is used so we can improve it. We do not sell personal data, and we do not send marketing emails unless you ask for them.
Lawful basis and consent
Where you submit a form, we rely on your consent, given by ticking the consent box before sending. Where we are preparing or performing a contract with you, such as a quote or an installation, we rely on that contract. Where the law requires us to keep records, we rely on our legal obligation.
You can withdraw consent at any time by emailing us. Withdrawal does not affect anything we did before you withdrew.
Where it is stored and who can see it
Enquiries you send through the website are stored in our content management system (Sanity) and emailed to our team. Only the Cyvora staff who handle enquiries, and Chrx Digital as the website administrator, can see them.
Who we share it with
We share data only with the service providers that run our systems, and only as far as they need it:
- Website hosting and content management provider.
- Email provider used to receive and answer enquiries.
- Analytics provider (GA4), only where analytics cookies are accepted.
How long we keep it
Enquiries and quote requests are kept for as long as we need them to answer you and to keep a record of what was agreed, then deleted.
Your rights
You can ask us for a copy of the personal data we hold about you, ask us to correct it if it is wrong, or ask us to delete it. You can also object to how we use it, or complain to Uganda's Personal Data Protection Office.
To make a request, including a request to delete an enquiry you sent us, email info@cyvorabiotech.org. We reply within 2 working days and complete requests as soon as we reasonably can.
Security
Access to enquiry data is limited to the staff who need it. Accounts are password-protected, and the site is served over HTTPS.
